Okay, some of you may have seen my thread in the Super section about my plumbing issue. Well, now we have solved the problem, we had a plumber come out and fix the problem, apparently there was a dead baby squirrel in our plumbing for about 5 years. (Hurk!!!) Anyway, me and my mom had to clean the basement laundryroom today and my mom threw up it was so gross, then after we were done she cried because she hated that her clothes got washed in the same room. So, now I am going to solve (most) of her rpoblems with the laundryroom. She has said in the past that she would like to have a washer and dryer in her bathroom and I intend to do just that, me and my stepdad are going to plan a removal of the bathtub, replace it with a shower, and install a stackable washer and dryer. It shouldn't be too hard considering that there is plumbing in the bathroom and that the unit will be sitting one floor up directly over where the dryer is so it won't be hard to run gas and venting to the dryer seeing as how we will be getting rid of the bathtub anyway there will be a hole in the floor to run plumbing, gas, and venting. But, the reason I post this thread in the Deluxe section is I am wondering what a good stackable washer and dryer would be. I have already discussed what machine mom is looking for with her and she made it clear that she doesn NOT want a fronload washer. So that is out of the question, plus we will have a Spin-X right next to it so, all I need to know is a good toploading machine wash performance wise. We were thinkng about getting the stacked Maytag with the orbital transmission. Any thoughts? Thanks!!!!
