@joeekaittis,  your post reminded me of Service Merchandise,  you took the ticket and waited in the delivery check out area.  In NOLA  we also had Leonard Krower,  that worked somewhat the same way, they were mostly a jewelry store.  Other Smalls are Knapp-Monarch,  Rival, Van Wyck,  Superlectric.  Riverside was a M. Wards brand,  my Dad loved their "snowtires" long b4 all-season radials were offered,  iirc, there was Wilson's that became Leonard Krower that became Service Merchandise.  alr
 
Beleive it or not----Singer used to sell commercial broadcast equipment-AM and FM broadcast transmitters----under the "Sintronic" name.Also they marketed industrial electronic test gear under the same Sintronic name.Their transmitters were sold a lot during the 70's.And Sintronic appeared in Gov't electrnic gear,too.
 
Riverside

The '50 GMC was outfitted with Ward's Riverside tires well into the 1970's.  Thanks for reminding me, Tim!
