Suavitel is quite loud and I think the blue bottle is best. The green and the pink ones are quite funky, yellow is too sweet to my nose. But contrary to Downy's marketing claims, a little Suavitel goes a long way. It is quite thick and concentrated. It is also inclined to stick to fabric softener dispensers and leave residue if the water flushing the dispenser isn't strong or warm enough, or the spin for the centrifugal dispenser on an agitator isn't fast enough. You definitely should dilute Suavitel with warm water when filling the dispenser.
I almost preferred Ensueno, but I haven't tried it in a long time. I know they have different scents now, but the original blue was really nice when diluted properly.
Anyone see the 1-2-3 Mexican softener made by Henkel? I wonder if it is the same as German Vernel and other softeners. (DO avoid 1-2-3 detergent, as it is more an all-purpose cleaner and very high sudsing.)
Mexican Downy is also quite different in texture and scent. I know that one floral version of Mex Downy is the same as the Fresh Linen "bluing" Downey we have.
Mexican Snuggle is a rather new development. They were selling the classic non-ultra Snuggle, but they have apparently changed the formula and packaging slightly to appeal to Hispanic customers.
