In checking the softener shelf at my local grocery, I found this product for the price of around $3 for 33.81 ounces, roughly half the price of the major brands and with a very mild, pleasant Sandal Wood fragrance. It is made in Mexico by Fabrica de Jabon La Corona. SA de C.V.Carlos B. Zetina 80 Parque Industrial Xolostoc, Ecatepec, Estado de Mexico, 55348. www.Jacorona.com.mx

The Permanent Press load that I dried and vented indoors was sufficiently softened and rid of static electricity. If you are looking for an inexpensive, effective softener, I can recommend this one. The little cap barely holds an ounce and that is the recommended amount.

There was a pair of wide wale corduroy pants and a lot of Gold Toe almost knee length socks in the load and they all got softened together with the shirts. There was no snap crackle pop when I removed stuff from the dryer. Is that what you want to know?

If you can lay hands upon them both Lidl and Aldi fabric softeners are highly rated by German consumer testing groups. Just hair above or below Lenor (P&G's offering in Europe).

Thank you mucho, Launderess!!

We are scheduled to get a Lidl grocery where our old Giant was located. Actually, I believe the smaller Lidl is already in the strip mall where the Giant moved. We have an Aldi even nearer. I will check on both stores' store brand softener.
