I have an ad for this somewhere!!

Samuels Co. Chattanooga Tennessee, Im thinking about 57 8 or 9, If I find the ad ill let you know for sure.

My friends the Wilsons had this Suburban gas wall oven in their old house. From what I remember them telling me, the house was around 5 years old when they moved in after their marriage in '61. So I would place that oven from '55 or '56. They still own the house and rent it out, but redid the kitchen about 10 years ago.

For a night-light?

HMMMM

I'd guess a hand-mixer or a stick-blender, to work on a pan of food as it sat on the oven door.

But stick blenders AFAIK didnt exist commonly then.

I've seen exhaust hoods/fans that are installed (fitted=> UK) above wall-ovens to draw out of the room heat, smoke, grease odors, byproducts of combustion etc. But these are normally hardwired in and don't need to be plugged-in!

A timed outlet. GE had lots of them.

all those beautiful old stoves with timers had outlets so the Mrs. could plug her percolator in at night and wake up to hot coffee. It was a nice feature, but very few people took advantage of it. It's one of those features that I always say were appreciated by the husbands that bought the appliance but the wives couldn't have given a s@@t about.

All good suggestions about the outlet. I guess I could see its purpose on a cook top but I can't think of anything that I have ever had to mix while it was in the oven. We had a timed outlet on two of our stoves growing up and used it daily. However I am sure if it hadn't been for me showing my mom how to use it in the beginning it would have never gotten used either.

The Kasey's---

Who were the 'Joneses' of my old neighborhood had their kitchen customized in 1958. This is the exact wall oven they had along with the matching gas cooktop,KitchenAid Superba dishwasher,American Standard corner undermount sink,Custom Imperial Three Ring agitator washer and matching electric dryer in Charcoal gray, upright freezer in white, and bottom freezer Imperial in charcoal gray. So,this model is probably from 1954-1958.
