I have not met anyone who did not love the 'Greenies'. As I stated, they get more 'potent' when you are downing them in the sun. But they go down so easily.

They usually are the hit of every party, and even better if the party happens to be poolside.

I forgot to mention that you put the container of liquid in the freezer for it to turn into slush.

A lovely Temperence Beverage-

"Veranda Punch"

Juice of 3 lemons (good 1/2-3/4 cup)
Juice of 3 oranges (about 1 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup simple (sugar) syrup
1 cup brewed tea (I use Red Rose Decaf)
1 pint ginger ale (can and a half- chilled)
1 pint sparkling water (chilled)

Mix juices and syrup, add the hot tea. Let cool to room temperature.

Add the chilled ginger ale and sparkling water.

Serves 8-12 in punch cups.

Easily doubled, tripled, quadrupled.

This is from a funny old cookbook an aunt of mine had. The punch is surprisingly good. Plus, the name (theirs, not mine, is a hoot!).
