Anyone have any special recipes for some summer(or other seasonal) drinks? Maybe something for a crowd?

Here is my contribution...Came from my 84 yr. old neighbor:

GREENIES

1 can frozen Limeade
1 2 ltr. btl. Sprite
Vodka

Empty limeade in pitcher, fill can with vodka, empty into pitcher and add Sprite and ice cubes.
Warning: These go down so fast in the sun and you won't know what hit you~!

Enjoy and please share.......

MMMM sounds good!!! I'm gonna hafta try that down on the boat with my rechargable blender! I'll be the most popular boat in the marina

You can add rum....but

I think it's just as good without.

Pina Fria/Colada

1 sturdy blender (or one you don't love)

1 can Cream of Coconut (not coconut milk) The larger can, I forget the size...maybe 12 ounces?

1 can juice packed pinapple, does not matter if it's chunks or slices, but crushed is not so good here.
The 15 (or so) ounce size.

1 tray of ice cubes.

(If you must,----rum.)

Combine cream of coconut and undrained pineapple in blender jar. Cover jar, and hit the switch!

Spin it for a good minute, minute and a half. Stop and scrape.

Re-cover jar, but remove the center cap. Turn blender back on, and turn it to high.

Add ice cubes one at a time until the tray is empty, and you have a blenderful of delight.

Serves 2-6 depending on whom you are serving.

Pina Colada Punch

This is great to make in a punch bowl for a summertime party or barbecue.

First, Make an ice ring. (Fill a ring mold with water and freeze.

Recipe:

1 20 oz. can crused pineapple, undrained.
2 15 oz. Goya cream of coconut, or Coco Lopez
1 46 oz. can pineapple juice
2 cups light rum
1 32 oz. bottle club soda

Recipe can be doubled, tripled, etc.

Enjoy!

Hmm Greenies sound yummy

Think I will make a batch of those this weekend. Thanks GG!

I love making jello shots, and am usually requested to bring them to get togethers.

This club really ought to seriously consider publishing a small cookbook/bartending guide.

We have so much talent here.

Lots and lots of liquor...I think I add 1-2 cups per package.
Small or large. Something like that.

I've used variations of Spiced rum and vodka, and experimented as you will, with the different flavors of jello. Now I know why they call it "Mixology". It's fun to create different tastes, and try them out, LOL.

I just know...I can make 36 of the suckers, and they are all gone in a matter of a couple of hours..
Kinda sneak up on ya too.

YUMMY!

Ooh Gary....that limeade concoction sounds delicious! Perhaps we heathens in Texas can substitute Tequila (read "To Kill Ya") for the Vodka! ;-)

That tequila might work. Why don't you try it and report back????

BTW...I am bringing 'greenies' to this weekend's wash-in.
Maybe some pics after the greenies will be in order(LOL).

Who has the AlkaSeltzer?

Gary:

I have a feeling that after consuming the "greenies", y'all may be a little "green" yourselves! ;-)

OMG

I love Jello shots,
However you need to make them with a person who can count other wise you wind up with this.. It's a picture of my friend Alexia from our Halloween party last year! they were really STRONG, but by the end of the night they were gone.

I love a Martini
Two at the very most
Three, I'm under the table
Four, I'm under the host.

Quote from a Silent Era movie star, I forget who.
Had to give up alcohol for health reasons, but I do miss my Gin Martinis.

Pink Lady

Empty one 6 ounce can pink lemonade concentrate in the blender and using the can as a measure, add:
1 can Vodka
1 can half and half
2 egg whites or 1 Tbs Dream Whip Powder
Fill with ice cubes and blend until smooth and thickened.

Substitute orange juice concentrate and Gin to make a Ramos Fizz

Well for the record, I had 2 16oz. glasses of that "Greenies" concoction, and I love it. The following is my wife's recipe for Brandy Slush.

2 cups sugar
9 cups water
1 (12oz.) orange juice concentrate
1 (12oz.) lemonade concentrate

Boil water and sugar until dissolved-cool. Add juices & 2 cups brandy. Pour into a covered container and stir once every hour until the mixture turns to slush. To serve, place 2 ice cream scoops into a mixed drink tub and pour 7-UP over and serve.
