Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Does it say 'cardfile', for early microwave recipes like the Tappan that was posted in another thread... wow those should be cool

Interesting

to learn that the Easy had a live fill with the motor and pump on, just like the Blackstone. Look at how short the Fine Fabrics cycle is---and a soak to boot! Three cycles on that old pretty girl. Wondering if the agitator is an Easy original or a Beam, etc, imitation. The cap looks like the one we've seen recently from overseas Easies.

What a riot if we had a pic of 5 guys on their knees scouring the grass for washer parts. Too funny!

What a nice thread for a Monday morning, but I don't like seeing handsome Artie all tied up like that (kidding), although he doesn't seem to mind and the ropes are loose. Have you see the Comfy Control harness, John? It's nylon mesh, and works great. I bought one for Athena, and the first time we went for a walk with it, she looked up at me, surprised seeming to ask, "Why is this not pulling on my neck?"

That Westinghouse is so neat!!  I loved looking through the electronic recipe file!!

Looks like a great time! It is such a small world, I noticed the street sign in the background and said hey, that is right up the street. We have our boat in Oyster Pond! We have a little cottage off Ridgevale.

There really is a pic of the Washer Egg Hunt--thanks, Jeff!

That's awesome. What would passersby think? A new religion maybe. Too funny.

Jon, I understand, a dog's seat belt. Amazing. But earlier today, in reflection during my bike ride, I thought your harness may have been the homemade precursor of the Comfy. The theory is that a neck leash triggers a pull reflex in the dog, whereas a chest harness does not. Athena is a 40 pound American Bull-Pit mix, strong as an ox, and she hasn't wrecked it--YET.

I would be happy to send you one for Arty to test; in fact I was going to call John and ask for your address to surprise you with it. I'll do anything to get me closer to being allowed to borrow, beg, steal, trade the glass-fronted lighted Easy just for a winter some time in the future.

The Easy is Beautiful!

This may seem a silly question, but what does the Easy sound like when it's running? Being a Beam design, does it sound similar to Eddy's '53 Hotpoint and '57 Speed Queen? Is it smooth and quiet like Robert's '63 Easy?

dig the liquid cooling system for the transformer of that microwave-complete with
a little circulation pump on one of the fan motors! wonder what was used for the
coolant.
