Well, during my Christmas cooking I broke the handle off of my model 10 after mashing potatoes to make gnocchi.
This was my grandmothers mixer from when she got married in 1952. The handle was broken decades ago and repaired, and I broke it off in the same place.

Does anyone have a spare model 10 handle they can spare, as well as advice on how to put the new handle on?

possible fix..

If another handle can't be found, try JB Weld, the classic version, not the quick setting. When I was a kid we had a Corning electric percolator, and it got dropped, which snapped the handle off right at the bend. It was repaired with JB Weld, and stood up to daily use for several years before being passed on to a cousin. Darn thing is probably still working somewhere, lol.

Does anyone on here rebuild MixMasters?
I went to replace the cord tonight and I found that the leafs coming off the motor are deteriorated.
I had sent a repair request to MixerMaster.com but they have a 3 year wait list

To remove the handle you have to gently pry of the emblem in the center on the front. Under it you will find a nut with a warped washer and spring under it. If I recall you should move the handle off to the side before removing. Just be careful and note the order of the components and you will be fine.

We still have one small appliance repair shop left in this city of over 1,000,000 in population.  Sad commentary, but if you have such a business within a reasonable distance they might be able to make the motor repairs.  I don't know what the leaf components are, but they sound delicate.
