Sunbean Mixmaster

I don't know if anybody here was watching last night, but I was watching one of the home shopping channels, and they have a "retro" Sunbeam MixMaster stand mixer on there. They actually did a pretty good job of making it look like the old models, except the head comes off so it can be used as a hand mixer.

As I recall the head always came off, at least on the 50's and 60's models my mother had. Way too heavy to be used as a hand mixer though...

Unless you wanted to do some weight-training that is!
Despite the weight, using a full-sized Mixmaster for whipping potatoes is worth the effort.
