I love it when it's time to do a load of towels, not quite sure why but I think it's fun. I wanted to share my experience this morning with the club. Here are the photos
Great photos! I had a 1-18 for about a year, and I kick myself regularly for having sold it. Love the huge dryer drum, too. They're beautiful in poppy, that's for sure.
Beautiful set! Love the window lid also! I had a 1971 1-18 and it had the window lid too. Mine was harvest and not in the mint condition yours are though.
This is almost just like my aunts 1/18 set from 1974 except hers didn't have the window. The control panel is exactly the same.
Best Wishes and JetAction!
Peter
I did enjoy that, even though, or especially since I sold my Poppy red, but to a memeber here! They are nice, big, rugged machines that use tons of water. Thanks for the memories, espeically the color.
Very nice machines, I love the poppy red. My neighbor when I was growing up had the same machine in white. I loved watching it through the window. I wonder if they still have it or if it has been replaced.
I think you should get a high efficiency front loader. LOL
Wonder if there is any way to make such machines energy efficient to meet today's standards?
One of my aunt's had a Frigidaire "Jet Action" washer, and when we spent summers at her home always thought her washer was "weird" compared to ours. Lord knows it made enough racket to wake the dead. *LOL*

LOL, there is no way I'll ever have one of those things
Laundress, I'd sure love to get my hands on one of those noisy old Jet Action machines! I grew up with one myself. BTW, there are methods of quieting them, as for efficency in today's "government" standards I'm not sure that their definition of efficency and the thoroughness the machines are noted for go hand in hand.
If anyone on here has one they want to sell... just let me know!
When did Frigidaire stop using "bouncy" agitators. I'm really impressed with the rollover on the Unimatic, Rollermatic, and Jet Action machines. It's a shame the don't make them anymore.
