Everything seemed right for a pot roast this weekend at the cottage.

Guys, that pot roast looks delicious.  I could almost smell and taste it from your video.  Thanks so much for doing these videos I'm really enjoying them.

Awesome awesome awesome! Im craving some pot roast right now. I've never cooked it like that before, I will have to give it a shot. Thanks for sharing!

Great video on how to. Like Terry I can smell tit cooking and when done. Your wall knife holder is just like the one we got from my mother-in-laws house aftr she passed away 24 years ago. Have several of her kitchen items and when using them always brings back great memories of her.

Jim, your crock pot version looks dee-lish, and probably less fuss. Do you brown the roast before you put it in? Make smaller pieces? I don't think my biggest crock pot could hold a whole roast. I like the idea of slow cooking this dish.

Hey Kevin, your pot roast looked quite yummy!   Great job with the video too, have you considered sending it into the Food Network?  ;-)

Awesome video! Looks so tasty.

How in the world from all of the stoves you have do you just pick just one? You have some amazing units at your disposal!
I do thank you for this video! Looks so tasty! And easy. Thank you.

@Kevin, Yes I brown it first. I use a can of cream of mushroom soup and a package of lipton onion soup mix in mine. I have also made it in the presure cooker. Just as good... The meat just falls apart when done. This photo is beef stew in the presure cooker.

Actually, I've got a few of the Westinghouse roasters, which I love and often use for baking jobs or large quantity cooking. Also have a few old Nesco roasters and an Everhot or two. I think the Westys are my favorites...very sturdy stuff!

I have a Westinghouse roaster. Maybe I will give that a try sometime.  The indicator light is out on mine. Anyone know what is involved in changing it?

Jim

I figured you have some.

I have a little 6 qt Nesco I've used out on the back deck occasionally during the high heat days. I crab at my other half to use the smalls out there instead of the big oven but does he listen.. :(
