I really regret you'd think I'd jump on you.
As Sandy pointed out, there is a lot of past history going on in the responses here.
I've taken several three month breaks since 2005 and in each of those breaks there have been other major blow-ups, none related to me.
I have also been accused here on several occasions of being the source of the near-constant soap-opera which plays out on the other collectors' club - yet I'm not a member and have never made one single post.
What it comes down to is very simple: After the Austin incident, I made some very harsh judgments of that club.
I apologized, Robert accepted and I never said anything else about them again. Several members of both clubs, however, have ever since used every opportunity to attack me.
I do have strong opinions on civil rights, human rights, gay marriage and freedom from oppression through religion.
I do feel the republicans have trampled the constitution with both feet, dancing a jig with conservative Christians. It does make me angry to see the cavalier manner in which a certain group here insults and demeans those with mental illness. I find it very unfair that those people insist on persecuting former members of the group (chad, hollywood bob) - making fun of them in threads and saying the most hateful things years after they have left.
Ninety-nine percent of this is simply the nastiness gay men of a certain age think is the way to relate to people. If I went away they'd seek a fresh victim tomorrow.
Never, not once, have I started the name calling and mobbing which has gone on on both sites since 2006.
I regret this, truly. But I will not back down to people who attack others because of their race, their sexual orientation, their mental health or nationality.

Even if you have such a right, have you never heard of having the courtesy, the gentility (vornehme Herkunft is the German, I believe), to refrain from upsetting others at a social gathering?

He found one at a yard sale for next to nothing and flipped it to me at his cost. I can vouch for the fact that he lives in Florida; I have received a package from him there and have sent him a cheque there. I have corresponded with him personally on many occasions, and have never seen the slightest indication that he and Keven have anything in common besides being male.

That is exactly original point I was trying to make with this thread was we don't need political/religious ranting and raving in EVERY thread. I have no problem with it in a thread that is political or religious by design. Keven and others need to learn when and where it is appropriate, when to rant and when to STFU.
Refering Bob of Hollywood. Nobody to my knowledge and I'm on here alot has ever continued to "persecute" him. He was never persecuted, he was a mean-spirited individual and hell bent on making sure people like his victim adhered to his way of thinking.
I personally went after him on here when he continually berated a fellow member, not just on this site but on another. He even created fictious usernames to make it look like someone else. When he was "caught" he tried to wiggle out of it unremorsefully at that by blaming it on having AIDS.. Well like I said back then when I told him to fuck off in no uncertain terms, many many of my friends and aquaintances have died of AIDS. I've volunteered with AIDS groups and never never never has anyone been like that because they have AIDS or as a reaction to their drugs. NEVER. Even then he never apologized to his victim.
