Heh.
The housing/mortgage bubble is going to burst, sooner or later. (Probably sooner, though I hope no one here gets hurt in the collapse.)

My dream kitchen would have a 6 or 8 burner pro power gas! cooktop (Maybe Viking or Wolf..) and a 2 element electric cooktop, because electricity is good for simmering.
Serious venting for all of them.
A small, deep sink near the cooktop, but NOT a potfiller faucet over the cooktop. Those potfiller faucets over cooktops make me NERVOUS. I do not like to be nervous in the kitchen.
At least two sink stations, and the bowl of one of the sink stations would be DEEP. Deeper than the late Barry White's voice. Disposers, of course.
At least two electric residential self cleaning ovens, side by side, NOT stacked. A gas residential self cleaning oven, too.
Two and a half dishwashers. The half being a KitchenAid Briva.
The refrigerator would be the SubZero All Refrigerator, and the SubZero matching freezer, or other brand all fridge with all freezer.
Mixed countertops. Some laminate, some sealed wood, and next to the cooktops and ovens, stainless steel.
A stretch of stainless steel near the baking centre.
Floor? Something decent underfoot, like bamboo planks or laminated wood. Nothing extremely hard, or slippery when wet.
Mixed lighting. Sky lights or Solartubes, windows, flourescents, and halogen. Lots of dimmers or switches. Operating room bright to very, very dim in seconds.
Book shelves, a phone, a desk-ette, maybe with a laptop computer (linksys!)
Maybe a wood burning fireplace or bread oven.
TWO pantries. One for food storage, the other for utensils and dishware. One of the dishwashers would be in the butler's pantry.
Of course, of course, there would be a laundry nook for the kitchen towels, potholders, table linens, and so forth.
Hey, a guy can dream, right?
