Superstorm to hit Great Britain?

The news on the front page of the Daily Telegraph doesn't look too good.

So far.....

The South East has been ok- just the usual no ferries between Dover and Calais. Other than that just a few trees down etc. The brunt of it has been in the South West and Wales - see link.

80mph winds! Yikes! Thats a serious blow-job.

Here in Roanoke we get some pretty high winds whipping across these mountains and ridges. I live on top of a ridge and have experienced 70mph winds a few times. Personally observed a large old pine tree fall over on a neighbors house.
Lots of downed power lines add to the fray.

Some really bad windstorms went thru Greenville NC area couple nights ago-got to call the roofing man to replace some shingles!picked up some of MINE in the front yard-bare spot on the roof!

It came through here at 3 am. Nothing much to report . Nice and Calm now with rain.
