My usual grocery store Shoppers Food Warehouse has three grades of LCB: Clorox, a store line called "Essentials" and then some least expensive brand called Shoppers Value Line. For a long time the Essentials has sold at the price of 2 half gallons for $3.00, then it went to $1.57 for a half gallon. Yesterday it was suddenly up to $1.87 for the half gallon so I checked out the Shoppers Value Line. It was $1.39. I could not find the percentage of sodium hypochlorite, but they both said to use the same amount so I bought the cheapest because I do not use it in any of the washers, but I am surprised at the sudden price jump. Has anyone else noticed an increase in the price of bleach or some other household cleaning product? Does this stuff come from places with tariffs?
