After four years of faithful service the 1-18 developed several problems so I moved her out and hooked up the old 1962 Maytag in her place. Miss Maytag seems to be getting along fine with the late 60's solid tub Speed Queen. The Maytag will probably need a new water valve at some point because even when the machine is off a tiny trickle of water drips into the tub so I figure the valve is not closing completely. It's not a problem since I always turn off the water supply valves when I'm not using the Maytag or Speed Queen anyway.

No, both that machine and one I had for back-up parts had too many problems for me to tackle. A nearby neighbor picked them up. I also needed the room for my 62 Maytag, 68 Speed Queen and Magic Chef Norge.
