I found this old beauty yesterday in perfect working order, cost me more than I liked $20, but the name alone is worth it. All it needs is a new cocoa or excelsior pad in the back, I may try some light foam instead. There's not much to the innards, a horizontally mounted squirrel cage fan/motor, the motor shaft extends to the bottom of the unit where there is a small impeller pump, a tube takes the water up to a valve on the top right side ( a water dial flow control is on the ouside in gold), then it's tubed over to the top trough along the backside where it drips down over the pad. There is also a cork float inside that moves the front mounted water level indicator up and down. And an on/off switch. Can't wait for it to warm up around here so I can feel the cool breeze. Luckily it's arid in these parts.
