I immediately went to the fall/winter and spring/summer 1972 LOL... wow what a monumental task this must have been. Thanks for posting. I bookmarked it.
It was a great day when JC Penny's or Sear's Christmas "wish book" catalogs arrived with a huge "thud" at front door.
We children were under strict instruction that Mother had to open the things first and otherwise had first dibs. We kids got our look later on to seek out what we would hint wanted for Xmas.
What an awesome find. For you or anyone else interested, I landed on this YouTube video a while back of an old episode from the PBS series American Experience. It's a nice mini doc on the history of Sears catalogs and how Sears pretty much invented the concept of mail order.
