Hello all,

How many of us have been bored and started a project? Well that is what happened here tonight. I recently acquired a complete phone system at an auction and I started to install it. I got 1/2 of the system up and working all that is left is to add the last 3 phones, and rewire the west end of the house. Oh and program the system etc....

The first pic is the before and the second is the semi-finished project.

share more soon.

Mike

That's awesome! I've always wanted to do that but the phone wiring layout in this house is kinda odd and has two central points vs just one so it would require a considerable amount of extra wiring to do, and expensive even with a used system as there's tons of phones hooked up everywhere (and I wouldn't want just a few).

Those Nortel Meridian systems have always been of great interest to me over everything else. I like the way they look.

Are you hooking this up to VoIP or an actual copper line(s)?

copper or VoIP?

Gusherb,

Actually it is a three line system and I have line 1 attached to my google voice #, line 2 and 3 will be to bluetooth gateways that will tie to our cell phones. We have some coverage issues in our house so this was a way to get around it.

So I guess to answer your question it is not to physical copper lines as of right now maybe some day.
