Just a shout-out to say thanks to our own PhilR for giving me a heads-up on this range. It was in my proverbial backyard of Des Moines and the seller was kind enough to hold it until I got back from vaca.

So, after a quick 4 hour round trip after work, here we are.....

Sensational '60...

It's the twin to my primary range, identical in all but color (mine being turquoise). However, mine has had the sensi-temp, speed heat, and porcelain drip trays replaced, plus it's always good to have a few spare parts on hand. Anyway, thanks Phil!

I'm happy you got it!

Last year, there was one just like it (well, the Canadian version) just a few blocks away from a friend's house but it was far from being in nice condition! I didn't feel like cleaning it and quite a few things needed attention. The sellers wanted $300 for it and I had to offer $30.

Needless to say they weren't too happy about my offer (and refused it!) but I'm sure they didn't get more from anyone else... My friend who lives nearby was embarrassed by my offer but I told him there's no way I would pay more for that! He said, you should just have kept your mouth shut and politely tell them that's not exactly what you were looking for!

BTW, you have a really nice avatar!
