I just wanted to thank John (combo52) publicly; he sent a goodie box for my new range that puts me light-years ahead on my resto.

He sent:

- A new, genuine GE set of trim rings
- A set of knobs
- The correct square, Teflon-coated griddle for the range
- The correct Starlight Gray broiler pan for the range

Detailing on these items (and there is precious little of it to be done; these are NICE used parts) is taking place as we speak. The old girl should be posing for photos on my next day off, Sunday. Well, after pancakes on the griddle!

Real Maple Syrup?

Pity Chanel No. 5 isn't edible - I think it's cheaper than real maple syrup these days! ;-)

My cousin Brian is the 3rd generation to cook syrup.  His is state certified Grade A medium amber.  It's all I've ever known.
