went to some estate sales yesterday on my free time. the first one I pull up to i see them carting out what looked like a early 60's Kelvinator magic minute washer. to add insult to injury the price was on it was $25 and it look like it was in good shape.

I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me just recently--washer was still there but I was told "some old man has already got it." The story of my life!
