Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Thanks Bongobro. I looked up the lyrics on the net and you're right. But, even though I now know that's what they are singing, it still sounded like something else to me. Of course, being a total "mind on sex" teenager back then, I'm sure my brain embellished quite a bit. ;o)

carols and other oddities

When I was a child...What did Round John Virgin have to do with Silent Night, and why was John Lennon wanting to give peas a chance...and does anyone understand what The Hollies were saying in Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress or what was the Spencer Davis Group singing in Gimme Some Lovin?....Just wondering...

I think the Hollies sound like they are singing:
Bus stop where they freeze their a** end, please share my umbrella.

Early All in the Family:
Gee are all the salaried great

That Girl:
That Girl, She's in zoology

rinso, I think we may be the same age...

The "Bus Stop" lines you're looking for are something like

"Bus stop, wet day, she's there, I say, 'Please share my umbrella,' Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows, under my umbrella, All that summer, we enjoyed it, wind and rain and shine, That umbrella, we employed it, by August she was mine..."

And the "All in the Family" line was

"Gee, our old LaSalle ran great..."
