Hey guys, I’m a little curious. Does anybody know who makes the Costco laundry detergent now? As it used to be a different company but they pulled back from making “ storebrand“ products so does anybody know if the Kirkland ultra liquid still does a really good job? As I’ve been thinking about buying me a bottle and trying it out, it’s retailing for $20-$25 depending if you get it in store or delivered, that’s roughly half the price of tide for double the load (Kirkland Ultra Clean versus tide respectively$25 versus $50, and 146 loads compared to 78)

As far as I know, it's still made by Henkel.
I thought they pulled out of the detergent manufacturing business for other companies so if they are still making it that’s a great thing, although I had a look at the bottle in person and the label saysmade in China” so maybe it’s not made by Henkel anymore

What a bummer, I really love that detergent. I also noticed that Tide Ultra OXI and Roma weren't at Costco today either but they were the last time I was there. I'm gonna have to look for a replacement once my last thing of Kirkland is all gone.

For years, I've been using Windfresh powdered laundry detergent, available at Sam's Club and Amazon, among other sellers.
A nice big 35 pound bucket with a scoop, for about $40, giving 215 loads.
Same bucket as that Kirkland brand.
Always does a nice cleaning of my garments, and helps to prevent buildup in the washer.
It's also "old school" in its ingredients, before they started in that crap about sufactants and phosphates stuff.
