I agree

I agree with you Laundress. That auction has a lot of detail and technical info in it. Remember, the more you discuss the product you are auctioning the more interest you will generate.
Those photos are nice. I'm willing to bet that a Cannon Rebel XT or higher was used to take those. Also, the more clear photos you have the more likely you are to get a higher price.
I'm willing to surmise that the price on this auction will exceed the price most others get for this same item.

What got me was the photographs, VERY clear, bright and full of beautiful color! Am researching a digital camera to make a Christmas present to myself, and if the Canon you mentioned takes those kind of photographs, it will be on my list.

You really can tell the professional eBay sellers who go the extra mile. Their auctions show they not only know what they have, but how to "sell".

Lighting and technique are very important in getting a good result with photographs. Great cameras can produce lousy pictures, and lousy cameras can produce some fairly good pictures.

That notwithstanding, I have some experience in this field, and I'd say that Canon has some excellent cameras available at many price ranges. I'll agree that the Canon Digital Rebel XTi (or whatever this week's current offering may be) is a very good choice for someone wanting to get into digital SLR photography.

I'll also agree that it's nice to see an eBay seller who took the time to take good photos and to list some (presumably accurate) detailed infromation about their product.

When I take photos for my auctions, I have a little table in a corner of a room I have set up as a mini Ebay "studio". I often use spotlighting and always a nice backround fabric (in a acceptable neutral tone)or photographic backround paper to highlight the item.

Canon has made some nice cameras, if I see a spectacular photo on Ebay I often ask the seller what type of camera was used. The answer more often than not comes up as the Canon Rebel XT. Now the Canon EOS is equally as nice. For inexpensive cameras, I like the Fuji point and shoot digitals.

Now, for HONESTY in an auction, please look at this one:
