Those are wonderful cars. I remember the '57 Chevy when a neighbor bought one and gave us a ride. But what I was really taken with was an MG roadster that a friend of my dad had.

Personally, I didn't own a car until the mid-70's. Until then I made do with bicycle and public tranportation - those old iron streetcars - the "Green Slugs" - in SF were wonderful in their own way. The car I most wanted in the 60's was the lowly VW Beetle. Then, I wanted a Volvo. I wound up with a Plymouth.
