The Clapper

I remember that someone here said they wanted a Clapper and weren't able to find one. I was cruising my local Salvation Army this afternoon and found one with the instructions. If whoever it was that said they wanted one would send me an e-mail with their address, I would be happy to ship it to them.

poor man's MIDI light controller

I purchased a few clappers when I was doing sound with a band. To get some neat lighting effects with the drums, I located the clappers near the kickdrum, floor tom, snare, and one of the cymbals. When the drummer hit those drums, the clappers would toggle on and off, giving a really cool light show when connected up to colored flood and spotlights! The lighting was tied to the beat of the music, just like those expensive MiDi controllers at the music shop, but for significantly less money!
