While that in Iguassu...
The days are getting longer, the lovely daylight saving time is back, the A/C are running on max 24/7, the streets are melting like bubble gum and the news shows,like every year, the reporter frying an egg on the sidewalk.
It's 1pm now and temperature here is "pyrolitic clean". During the morning it's "bake" and at night it's "roast". Worst of all, it rained for about 5 minutes. The city became a steam oven. LOL
...and some people say California is hot during the summer. Ha-Ha-Ha... they should visit Iguassu to discover the new meaning of hot.

It seems to me that this book was published 1960s. Pre 1966 sounds roughly right.
I'll try and do some scans when I get a chance (a chance to both FIND the scanner AND scan!)
I've had this book several years. I got it from a library friend's group on-going book sale display. It was off the "free" shelf. Often, it seemed, the best books they had were free, and many that they were charging for were books I wouldn't take if given. Funny how that works.

A nice winter's read, indeed! I love that particular vintage of Maytag's logo, too.
