Thanks to Jon Charles I now have all 6 styles of the 36''Duomatics!The only one that I did not have was the 58 Economy Model. That he gave to me.Thanks Again Jon!!!!!!!These were the only styles that they made in the 36"cabinet.From the first in 1953 to the last one in 1958.These six styles came in gas or electric. The only time they had a choice of colored cabinets was in 1957 and 1958.

Fantabulous!

These are just beautiful, I love the fact that they're great to look at and so technically adventurous! Thanks for posting the detailed photos, now I need to go get a bib to keep the drool off my shirt . . .

The Big Bendix Combos

Thanks for posting the pictures and history of these first and greatest combos of the 1950s, the world had NEVER seen such an advanced laundry appliance that even the very critical Consumer Reports called [ An Impressive Achievement ] when they first tested them in 1953, they went on to say that it worked as well as the best separate washers and dryers of the time.

It was great seeing you and your increasing collection the other week.

Pictures cannot even begin to describe John's work on these amazing machines.  When he says "rust free" he means it!  They look like they're out of the box right from the South Bend, IN factory dock.

Congrats on getting the whole set of 36" combos, it must have been quite a challenge in patience but well worth the time and effort.
