For me...It would be the Sears Kenmore Ultra Wash series of 1988, I have put everything under the sun in there and always had fantastic results...this machine would have been free, under the agreement, if I put a cake in there and it did not disappear, do you know how many cakes I baked and frosted?, just to see it cleaned off the plate, dammit!...and it came as a convertible, which I needed at the time because I was renting, but I was eventually going to get a home and didn't want to have to buy a new one when I got it, a little adjustment and it fits under the counter and hooks up direct, and it is still running today without a single repair! Sad part is when it finally bites the dust, I'll have to search to find another one like it and there aren't many new ones built this way, or with that guarantee, but we'll see...

I think the 90's Maytags were great. They would clean anything you put in there in short order.
The new Maytag we got last November cleans just as well. The build quality isn't as good as the one we had in the 90's, but the performance is just as good.

Before I moved to Mocksville, I had a 73 model superba,absolutely the finest dishwasher ever made as far as im concerened,if I ever find another old K A ill take out this abomination of a new w pool ,its ok for dishes, but won't scrub off burned on grease like the old superba would,also,the whirlie dosent dry worth beans and the dishes are only warm at the end of a cycle,the K A got them so hot they would burn you,and washed them in half the time,and they call that energy efficent???

I loved my '99 Maytag Jet Clean. It was quiet, didn't take too long and would clean anything you could get in and get the door shut.
My New 300 series, it much nosier, has had two service calls and takes much longer to wash.
Though I still don't pre-wash.
This really isn't my picture, I borrowed it from an email, but it just seemed to fit right now.
