What a day for finds though I didn't grab them all because of the possibility we're gonna move but I was at the Goodwill and saw an area rug rolled up in the corner so went first to look at that. Turned out to be an all wool 6x9 oriental pattern so I grabbed it. I no sooner turn around and this Hoover convertible is sitting there, that Denim look one in very nice condition except that it's missing its little red Hoover button on the hood. Works like a charm, zipper bag, 4 position model and only $14.99. If anyone has an extra red button for it they can part with please let me know. BTW I haven't a clue what year this one was, I do remember seeing them being sold new but wasn't that into vacs back then so don't remember the time frame.

The other item at VV I should have taken and it's odd because there's a thread about Philips stuff.. was an early 50's Philips console record player..with the two cupboard doors on front about 3 feet wide and the speaker cloth along the bottom. You have to slide the record player out when you open the doors. I'm killing myself here because they're only asking $29 for it and I just can't

Thats beautiful Pete!!

That model came out here in 1976 and ran for a while. It was a promo model though and not really widely available.
Does it have the tool converter track?

yes

The Bi-centennial model was U4085, Tom has one I don't. It was made from August of 75 to December of 76.
There was also a bi-centennial Celebrity too

The Bicentenial Model

I'm a new poster, but a long time lurker. I'm friends with Jeff and Tom. Here is my Bicentennial. I hope the picture shows.

Thanks, Pete,

I think the Bicentennial Celebrity was the red, white and blue colors. At least the power nozzle for it. Maybe Tom or Jeff can add here.

BTW I have the Denim model too. It was gifted to me from Tom in North Canton. I need to restore it. That's on the list....
