So here is my new full size dryer. Scince I let go of my Whight Knigt, 5 washers and 1 dryer just not enough. So it's going to be put in the shed on Satturday as I have a lot on my plate at the moment. Here are some photos.

P.s Glenfeildmathk1, the drum is metal, steel.

That's a blast from the past!

Mum had the next model up (Reversomatic De Luxe TL22) in almond. I used to turn on the buzzer which Mum found annoying. I really do need a proper dryer but I have to get the models I like first. Washer hunting tomorrow anyways.

Hotpoint TL21

Terrific dryer - I have the same model, twinned with its matching partner the WM25, great machines, they have been my daily drivers since 1997

Wow

They look brand new mcduffpth, they dont look like they are from 1997, these were the last round door models Hotpoint made before the hexagonal doors came in.

Merloni took over Hotpoint in 2001.

WM25 + TL21

A few more pics, hopefully a bit clearer this time... Pic of WM25 door shows scratched glass through years of gruelling work, looking to get a replacement glass bowl to smarten it up again...

WM25 + TL21

Still original bearings in WM25 although there is now a noticeable rumble when spinning so I think a bearing change will be on the cards quite soon. It's quite a brush-hungry machine and has had many brush changes through the years. Had new commutator and brushes fitted a few months ago.

Hi Grant

Those look absolutly stunning! Thanks for the photos. My TL21 does a few towels in just 40 mins on high wether as my old dryer(White Knight compact) took absolutle ages and its more effeciant according to the meter. I think its a D and so was the previous dryer was but probbabtly moer eco effeciant as it dries more. the dryer for the house is a zanussi TC481 dryer bought new in 1999and a Hotpoint WT960P wich isnt particularly great(could do with a new door seal) .Please try both your machines keep them both going as they are the best hotpoints ever. BTW do see my vids of it - on Youtube. see the link.

Hotpoint matching sets

Notice at the bottom

I've never really been a fan of Ariel or Persil - my mother always used Ariel in her twin tub when I was a child  - Daz is my choice when it comes to getting my whites white, nothing else gets my uniform shirts as clean and a lovely smell too
