Ranch-style houses are my favorite, and I grew up in one. I bought a multi-level (4, to be exact) six years ago, and although there are aspects of it I enjoy, it's a nightmare of steps up & down, every way you turn. And me with a bum knee. But, enough about that. Love how much light you have streaming in your dining area.
 
Jason, that is the very same dishwasher that I had for 20 years. When I left Danville I left it of course. It needed a new water valve as it didn't fill with enough water. Are you pleased with the machine. Looks like a very comfortable home! Congratulations to both you and Hellen.

I love the kitchen flooring, it is definitely from the same era as ours. We had a MOL 70's GE dw in our house when we bought it 10yrs. ago, great machine. I like the open floor plan alot. Is it built on a slab, or does it have a basement?
 
awesome house and wow it still looks retro! my dad has an under-the-sink ge potscrubber dishwasher from 1992, but the house was built in 1971 and the living room still has itz 70's look.

Jason, yup that's my old dishwasher I loved completely until I got the Kenmore Elite TT. I believe yours is more toward the end of the product life cycle than my 1986 version. On mine, your Heavy Soil button was the equivalent of my Normal Soil button. Your Normal Soil Button was labeled Light Soil on mine. All other button names are identical. I extremely rarely used my Normal (your Heavy) Soil cycle--it used the same amount of water as PotScrubber cycle and I always thought, if I needed that many water exchanges, then I might as well PotScrubber. I always said, my Light Soil cycle was the equivalent of everyone else's Normal Soil cycles at the time. I pretty much oinly used Light (your Normal) or Potscrubber cycles. Very rarely any other cycles. I would use Energy Saver cycle if stuff had pretty much accumulated only for one day and hadn't had much time to harden onto surfaces, or if I'd done a bunch of moderate cooking that wasn't too starchy. It's a 36 minute cycle before it starts dry cycle. And yes, if the water valve has sediment in it, it isn't gonna fill properly. Mine always kicked butt, extremely rarely ever had a cleaning problem. Always had my water heater set at 120. My Kenmore Elite TT actually dries better than the GE did. The only time results would be considered equal, is when I used PotScrubber cycle.
 
Jason, love your house. Both inside and out.

love your porch, the 70s carpet, the flowered 3 piece suite, the kitchen cabs, the pale yellow kitchen, the cats, the cat tents(w/ connector), your French inspired console stereo, your spindled counter stools, your bun footed china cabinet, and of course, the GE 1200 Potscrubber with Auto-advance timer.

The upper kitchen cabinets seem to be installed about 4 to 6 inches taller than one might expect. Am I wrong here? And the kitchen light seems 'bump your head' low. am I seeing that wrong?

It is a beautiful house and Thanks for sharing. I have heard that Tennessee is some beautiful country side.
