Wow your kitchen is beautiful!
One question. The heavy black bottom glasses in the dishwasher, were they a promotional gift at one time from a gas station? My parents had them in the 70's and I kinda thought thats where they got them. They used them for rye and ginger ale.

Looks great! I think the yellow looks fine. The grey looks too plain, and the orange looks 70's. Perhaps the yellow is little too bright, but it still looks great.

I am glad you are changing the dining room light. It looks too colonial. The "saucer" style will look much better.

Great job Paul!

heavy black bottom glasses

Brian, you're spot on - the glasses were given away by Texaco and I think they may have been part of the Fiesta series (there was dinnerare, too!). We had tons of them because my parents drove 'land yachts' (Mom had a '56 Buick Roadmaster and Dad alternated between a huge F150 King Cab and a '67 Chevy Malibu). Well that and the fact they were cheap! lol
I use 'em for Rye and soda - it must be a Canadian thing!!!

Wow! Looks Great!

I really like the finished product, the yellow gives it the right amount of punch, I hope you don't change it.

I think it's the perfect blend of old and new. I'm not a fan of preserving and old kitchen just because it's old. Old style kitchens don't fit the way most of us live today. Very little counter space and poorly thought out layouts. What you've accomplished is to bring the best of the old, I really like the GE stuff, and mix it in an up to date layout that is functional and very attractive. Well done!

WOW! It is just beautiful. What a wonderful kitchen. It brings back memories, my Aunt Mary had a GE kitchen of that vintage in PINK. She had the hanging fridge, the pull out freezer, dishwasher, stove and wall oven. It was such a pretty kitchen, just a nice as yours.
