The Love of Clothes Washers and Homosexuality

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

You guys crack me up.....

No, you don't have to be gay. I've always been fascinated with washers (actually anything mechanical) since I was a kid and I'm straight. Sexuality doesn't enter into the love of a fine piece of vintage engineering. This little organization of people are some of the finest, kindest, loving people I have ever had the pleasure to associate with and have helped me out with restorations of two vintage Frigidaires. We've been there for each other through the fun stuff, sickness, and the loss of family members. Hmmm....sounds like a family to me! John Lennon once said "Love, anything that is love between two people is okay. There's already too much hate in this world."

Gosh I Learn Something New Everyday

Hmmmm, strange I didn't know that there was a neighborhood in Duluth called Los Angeles.

Samantha the witchy webmaster knows all and sometimes forgives. She uses her powers for good sometimes and other times...

You certainly don't have to be gay to appreciate beautiful, well engineered products that are built to last. Remember, most, if not all of these vintage products were designed, prepared, and put together by straight men way back in the day.

On that note, I'm straight and this is the first place I immediately go to every morning once the computer is fired up.

I'm in no position to expound on the matter, but there is a fascinating book, "The Queen's Throat" which deals with opera and why so many gay men love it. Personally, I feel one needs to be born with a specific "opera gene" in order to embrace it (I was not). I was however, born with a "I love old stuff" gene(which is why I enjoy visiting AW). Maybe another book needs to be written...."The Queen's Final Rinse" perhaps?

Getting to know you, getting to know all about you

Hell - you don't even have to be human. Our webmaster is a beautiful witch with bulging biceps, and more than one of us is more than one...of...us.
That said, I think the only firm and fast rule I've ever noticed here is that you may not be an asshole. If you don't like gays, lesbians, Jews, Blacks and people from/with foreign parts, then this is definitely not the right place for you.
Some of the nicest people here are straight, white, conservative, heterosexual, Christian women who vote Republican.
Others have to put up with a lot of shit for being openly gay and find it relaxing to just be themselves here.
And others are, well, other.
As for me, well, I'm gay and proud of it and nobody is putting me back in the closet alive...and I'll take as many with me when I go as I can.
So, why don't you tell us a bit about you? Are you a student at the University of Minnesota?
Enquiring minds want to know...

Hell, I'm str8 and this is the 1st place I visit in the morning. I've made several friends here, and I have a love of vintage appliances. So I guess being gay isn't a requirement after all.

Jack:

There's really only one way to find out for sure- come to the next wash-in and kiss a few guys.

If they enjoy it, you'll have your answer.

If you enjoy it, we'll know why you asked.

Sorry drive by posting :-)
