Help Support :

Matt, great pictures, I'm surprised at how simple the tank really is! Glad to see your dream machine up and running again, it cleaned up really well!

I like the turquoise clothes guard, agitator, and Super Filter-Flo pan...wish mine had that!

Well Thank YOU, so much

I had always wondered how that system worked, glad the rit dye cleaned right up and it sure did make a Good Show. Thanks for taking the time to, set this up and photograph it. arthur

She is indeed a sight to behold! And best of all.....She lights up!!

Matthew, thanks!! Greg tried to explain this to me when he had is dispensall sans tank. When I saw u opt for slow wash, slow spin, I thought, what's going on. Now I know, keep the dye splashing to a mminimum.

Thanks Guys!~

I'm really having fun with it!. I can't wait to hook it up inside where i can use real Tide detergent in the dispenser. I have it outside my parents garage now and it drains into the back yard. I use biodegradable detergent for the lawn. But I think it will replace the FF in the basemennt next to moms and we'll really be in business!

If I happen to come across a video camera I can borrow I'll take a few videos.

Have a great week!

Matt

Thanks !

Hey Matt, enjoyed the show. I have always wondered exactly how the dispensall dispensed it all....<p>Question: You said the water flowing to the bleach was slower. How long into the wash does it take before bleach starts dispensing into the wash water ? Tom

That is really a great restoration! I really like how you did the lettering on the filter pan----thats the best looking GE filter pan I ever saw!

Special thanks for showing how the Dispensall lid works. I have never seen one in action.

That is truly a grand example of a GE!

Thanks everybody!

and to answer Tom's question - I'd say the bleach dispenser trips the syphon after about a minute of washing - its actually timed very well. It says on the lid instructions not to use more than a cup as to not trip the syphon before its ready to drain - into a tub of dry clothes that is. Then the water continues to flow thru it and rinse it out- by the spin cycle the dispennser has completely emptied and is ready for the lid ot be lifted after the cycle - but ingenious as they are - if you lift the lid during the cycle - there is enough room in the tank too hold the entire contents of the bleach and fab sftnr dispenser without spilling into the machine! They thought of everything!

i do need a video camera!

somedday....

RE: GE. DISPENSALL

Great photos of the Ge. Dispensall. Ge. is my second favorite washer. Would recommend these to anybody who ask my opion if they couldn't get a Norge then this was the next brand I would tell them to get. Third choise was a Speed Queen. This was in the early 90's. A friend of mine had bought a new Kenmore and was unhappy with it and I told her to call her sales person and tell her this and swap it for one of the Ge. filter-flows, but she didn't do this she just put up with the Kenmore. Can't wait for video footage of the dispensall in action. Bye for now Danf. a.k.a (Norgeman).
