I finally had the time to get this set back together. Both timers went to Reeco Timer and came back as good as new. The machines shined up beautifully. Gotta love those matched sets. Thanks again Jimmy!

Oooooh. Those are GORGEOUS.

I wonder why manufacturers are so cheap about putting lights on machines today? When I was a kid, I remember going to Sears and other stores that carried majors, and the TOL lighted machines ALWAYS attracted traffic.

Can you even GET a FL pair with lighted consoles today?

Seems crazy- TOL models always generated excitement on the sales floor. That didn't necessarily mean that everyone who looked at them bought them- a lot of people checked them out longingly, then sighed and bought something less glamorous and more affordable. The point is that the glamour of lighted consoles and pushbuttons brought people IN, and got them in a mood to listen to salespeople.

Of course, all this was back when stores HAD salespeople...

I dunno.. The last time i delt with a salesman, all he wanted to do was to date me... That was when i gave up on buying a car... Might as well fix what i've got amd not put up with that... Now the only places with sales people are Sears and the Mom and Pop places

What beautiful machines. You must be proud as a new parent. I would love to see and use them up close and personal.

Thanks for the pictures. Nothing like a Frigidaire.

Wow Rich - those 62's are some good lookers! Last of the original 3 rings with the fabric dispenser 'snuggled' in place - too cool. Lighted GM matched sets are always so easy on the eyes, and these 62's are right up there at the top. Thanks for the photos ~

I sooooo love the look of those machines! Growing up, my aunt had a couple of models down from yours. Every time I would spend thee night she would drag out the laundry basket and say here you go. I hate to say but I think they look classier than the control tower models.

While the '61 CI set are really cool with the clamshell control panels, I thing the 62 & 63 CI's are much more handsome.

Congrats on this wonderful set!

Great looking set Rich! I heard Reeco did excellent work with timers.

Enjoy the pair - even if you just look at them! ;-)

Santa bring me ........

Wow, those are beautiful! Those have always been my favorite frig's. I think I will ask Santa to bring me a set of those next year!
