Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

That is a laundry plunger was used in old days as a manual "agitator", there're plenty on ebay, I've seen also kind of "home hand  made" manual washing machine using a bucket with a lid in which you stick in a central hole  this plunger, eventually you can  also use  a toilet (new) plunger provided with holes made on purpose or not....
Modern laundry plunger made of plastic:

Actually Have Somethine Similar

Made by Simplex with a copper base. They are alright for washing and rinsing by hand, though quite allot of work and one cannot imagine doing anything more than a small bucket or tub full of wash with one.

Principle is kind of the same, the plunger forces water into the wash with each downward movement.

Reminder to self: do not ever eat cookies at Kevin's hou

Actually, that's what he was going to use to make cinnamon rolls for the wash in before Kelly saved us all by taking over the cooking...

ACTUALLY Jon.......it would be better as a hood scoop.....now if we could just figure out how to attach it to one of the pistons to have it pulsate up and down.....what better demonstration than THAT?......

I wonder if the idea of the piston going up and down on a GM engine is what gave them the idea of this in the first place for a pulsating washer....
