Hello Everyone!

It's been quite awhile since I've posted on here. Actually I purchased a house several months ago and have been busy with all of that. In the previous house I had been living in for many years, was a KDS-36 KitchenAid Dishwasher-Sink combination. The house had belonged to my aunt for many years when I was growing up. I've attached a picture of it on here since some of you may remember this from several years ago.

So....this brings me to the performance of this 18

I have mostly run this machine on the Normal Wash and it has always cleaned everything extremely well...even with the smaller upper spray arm. I am very impressed with the cleaning ability of this machine.

The other day I decided to make a meatloaf in a glass baking dish and some scalloped potatoes in another dish. I thought I would test out the Soak 'N Scrub cycle. (I didn't give any pre-treatment to these casserole dishes. See pics....

Todd, congratulations on the new house. It's beautiful on the outside. I know you'll love all the extra space. The kitchen cabinets are beautiful. And welcome to the world of care-free dishwashing--no more stopping at the end of the main wash and giving the dishwasher a little bit of extra help if needed. Plus Load-As-You-Like full random loading. I know that scalloped potatoes and meatloaf load was somewhat a leap of faith for you. That alone gets you BobLoad status on it. Besides you can load a dishwasher expertly blindfolded!! Did you bring your GE stove with you?

Thank you Robert....

I debated whether to bring the GE oven to the new house but the new house has a Jenn-Air downdraft stove so I opted to leave the new GE behind.

I was able to buy the new house without having to sell my aunt's house of which I had some attachment/sentimental feelings. Not having to sell it allowed me the option to rent it out for a few years which I am doing. I just love the new house and don't foresee ever moving back to the previous one.

Congratulations!

How I miss my old Hobart KA's! Amazing what a dishwasher can do when it has enough water to work.

Stunning!!

Hi Todd. I just love your new house and your new dishwasher is beautiful!! I haven't used an 18 but if it's anything like my KDS-20 it will clean anything. Those are great results! Too bad the new machines are held to such strict standards that they have to run for hours to get comparable results and there are so quiet!! What's up with that? That's takes all the fun out of it!!
