I have a question I can't seem to get an answer of my own thought process and am stumped. I thought the Soak cycle on the Vari-cycle model pretty much took up the same space on the dial as the full cycle. So, does anyone know what the Soak cycle does during it's sequence that ends up adding 11 minutes to the total cycle time? And note the water usage is the same, 12 gallons

Thanks Glenn, that's exactly what I wanted to know. And David, I pretty much knew what the soak period did/was, just wasn't sure how it ended up adding time when it still went through all the same number of timer increments.

As I recall, Rinse Hold also paused the pump during those increments, but advanced at normal timer speed. Prewash drain increment, then advance to off, also at normal timer speed being as no rapid-advance.
