directed me here. As "Instagram" is a photo sharing site, if anyone else would like to share, I can make my e-mail adress show on my profile here, then I will give you my instagram profile name, as my account is private.
I've no appliance photos posted as of yet, as I see no point unless those interested in them would like to see. or any other on my page there. All G-rated and safe for work, of course, as family and friends all share.
It'd alaso be nice to see other A.W.dot org members holiday pics, etc.
Have a great day, and peace!
Mike.

Tom,

maybe Robert fixed it? This is just where I expected the thrrad to appear, but when I selected the menu item titled invitations, wash-in's, pictures, and or parties, it showed up in Imperial.
Oh, and friends, I only ask that you don't e-mail me spam, sell my info. to vendors, etc., and I'm not really in the market for any more stuff.

Mike / Vacerator,

Personal contact invitations and non-appliance photo sharing are to be in the green "As the Tub Turns" section ... to which you don't have access without a paid membership upgrade.

Imperial is for WASH-IN invitations and photos.  You clearly state above that you have no appliance photos to share.

"It'd alaso be nice to see other A.W.dot org members holiday pics, etc" -- There are already such discussion threads in the green section, where they should be ... you just can't see them.

Ok Glenn,

well, I said no appliance photos posted as of yet....... I don't upload photos here, as this machine is old, and I use no e-mail on it anymore. I use it here to read and type because it's a large screen, and eaaier for me to see and navigate.
I'm old school, only had a smart phone 2 years, never been on social media other than here before. I've seen local vintage appliance adds on here, so I think there may be a few interested in my locale. I know close to 500 people who live within a few miles of us, and we all share on instagram.
I'd pay for "as the tub turns", etc., if it were only $10 per year, not monthly, as DaveMAkro from Oak Park, Mi.-not that far away, has also proclaimed. I recall seeing Christmases past decorations, etc. posted on this page also.

Oy, my bad then!

I misread, as I do from time to time, as well as transpose numbers due to mild dyslexia. Hardly anything is such a bargain, and I've always been a bit "tight in the wallet". Had to be, on my own since age twenty. Learned to budget and save early. Didn't blow lots of money partying either. My folks grew up with very little, so we were taught well. Nothing handed to us either. A hundred pennies still make a buck. Incrimental margins add up.

>A hundred pennies still make a buck. Incrimental margins add up.

Numbers do add up. At an appalling speed, sometimes. I know some people here say it's "only a few dollars a year"--but enough "just a few dollars a year" expenditures can add up... Particularly for someone like me, who is severely low income.

Although for site harmony it's possibly good thing that I'm no longer an upgraded member. Some of my views unfortunately were not aligned with the Dirty Laundry echo chamber, and I sometimes wonder how many people on this site blocked me during the time I was most recently an upgraded member.

>For comparison, a desktop computer w/LCD run 4hrs costs 15¢. That's $1.15/day counting internet access. IOW, if one can afford a computer.....

Yes.

Although the cost for access might also run $0, using a laptop, free wi-fi, and power in some public place. Or one might use a library terminal, which is free, and adds a benefit of "no computer investment".

That said, I'm paying for service where I live--but I'm using it for a lot more than just this site. I use Internet every day, but I don't necessarily do anything past quickly skimming a thread or two of interest here some days. And, at the same time, if I pull the plug on Internet--something I regularly consider to help save a few dollars--my Internet access would likely drop to only a few days a week from, say, the library, which would mean I'd visit here less. Not that I'd be missed.

poverty tiers

FWIW, I lost my career, house and retirement to globalization (crapufacturing) in 2001.  If my SS were $100/year less I would qualify for medicaid in TX, one of the stingiest states.  A tier or two below "low income"; forgot the exact word they used.

My income is equivalent to a $5/hr job.  I haven't filed taxes since 2004 and IRS doesn't care cuz I'm not worth pursuing.  The only thing I've 'bought' was a TV in 2015 when both mine and my brother's loaner quit.  I've pinched every penny so hard it's the size of a nickel.  Even so, I still have 3 of them to rub together.

Of course, no two situations are directly comparable.

“DaveMAkro” from Oak Park, mentioned: That must be me!

Need the advantage of finding lost threads within AW.org, not being directed in a general and futile search to/at Google...

“Did I say “THAT”????!!!!”—well, something inappropriate garnering a negative response, or SOON WILL, means that I have SIX-HOURS to take it down, or at least clean it up if I don’t want to owe any apologies here, lose any friends here, or simply see things ignored, and just feel sheepish about keeping stuff too revealing or embarrassing to express (and even often in an avenue like Dirty Laundry)...

Yes, Off-Topic (Webmaster: are you using THAT TERM in your description of the Green Forum? May I kindly suggest, besides what contents you have listed, that given what gets put there, non-appliance-related that you would please do?!) stuff, much of it of that nature, outside of what is listed, draws me in to making upgrading, as is what R- and X- rated stuff that I like to share and/or join in at DL...

Budget-wise, a lot of debt and financial burden, I’m taking on—yes, I want however many of the over-eighty versions of “Snowbird” (made famous by Anne Murray) there are out there, and how could I forget Chet Atkins made an instrumental of? So another trip back to East Pointe to the record store, there, for another copy of THEN AND NOW, the best place that it’s on, which I’d once had...

Funding for my mission of my musical research, please send to: _______

But, it’s worth my occasion upgrade, here!

Dave, again my fault.

I read your last post pertaining to that forum, and the one where one of us (not I)
brought up the subject of imploding a university dormatory tower. You had replied that you felt the thread contained nothing subverse that it couldn't be shared on this page. Robert also allowed it that once as he put it. Then you replied that the upgrade to the premium forum was the fastest use of your $10 in a single month for any web based forum. I must have interpreted that to mean that the cost is $10 per month. My applolgy if you feel I was being subjective. I meant no disrespect sir.
I my closing statement on that thread I replied that by us only being able to post certain threads there, as with any niche information source, only a few of us would see it, and so means that the benefit of information only reaches a few.
I've been called many things in my life. Answer man, pleathura of information, perhaps trivial at times, obnoxious, having a memory like "Rainman", walkie talkie, etc.
But, I could always work and chew gum while doing so, usually working circles around even younger guys, then inventory and order the suff to boot by 10 a.m.
So, I am who I is.........like it, or not. In the very least I can boast that I am not very self centered, ignorant, overly greedy, judgemental, insecure, nor vain. I also do not lie nor degrade others unless I've been directly attacked.
So long as I am not messed with beligerantly, we'll likley reach a compromise.
