The Big Summer Project is complete; The roof is re-shingled and the fence is up. Here are a few pics...

Facing east. I love working in the kitchen and looking out the window at my little garden, most of which I've managed to keep alive this year. (I'm a plant-person in training.)

Your new fence and yard look beautiful! It looks like you've done a great job keeping the plants alive - your Sedum(?) will be beautiful in the fall.

We have one that is jointly owned with a neighbor that is falling down, slowly and will have to be replaced next year. If it looks this good, I won't complain too much!

Wow

Beautiful! Lots of hard work there. Gardening has it's own rewards. Good for the soul. Great job Frigilux!

The Wednesday Night Club will be here tomorrow night for a Mexican Buffet Blowout. There will be a fajita bar (chicken and beef), a burrito/taco bar, and all the usual sides (Mexi rice, sweet corn spoonbread, homemade refried beans, etc.). And, of course, the Margueritas will be flowing.

I tend to take on a weird sleep schedule during August, so I was wide awake and working in the kitchen by 2:45 this morning. I love to watch the sun come up while I'm working in the kitchen. I'm working on my barista skills, so I've already had several shots.

Washed a large load of kitchen whites--2-3/4 lines worth. Here they are flapping in the breeze. You can understand why I want a privacy fence when you look at the house in the background. Well, I suppose SOMEONE has to singlehandedly drive down property values in the 'hood, LOL!

Hope you're all having a great Tuesday morning; I'm off to the casino with a friend this afternoon (Jackpot Junction in Morton, MN, about an hour north of me). Wish me luck!

Thanks, guys!

My house is built into a hill (looks like a split level from the front, a ranch from the back), and the yard slants downward from the north end to the south. The ground in between is uneven. The fence crew had quite a time with it. As you can see, couple of the sections had to tilt slightly to prevent large gaps between the bottom of the fence and the ground.

All-in-all, I'm pleased; And pleased that it's all finally finished!

These windows look out over the back yard. (Speaking of which, somebody needs to wash them, dammit!)

The sun pours in super-bright at 8:40 a.m., so it's a bad photo. The LG is purring away on the last load of pots/pans and the house smells to high heaven of cumin, coriander, chili powder and Black Cat Espresso/Dark Roast, purchased online from Intelligentsia. A highly recommended, if spendy, source for amazing beans. Blows Starbucks Dark Roast out of the water.

Great Job!

Eugene, You did a wonderful job. I also have a split level house. Starting major renovations also. Will post pics soon.

PS: I agree with the Intelligentsia coffee. They carry the best beans and the BEST Earl Grey Tea. I purchased from them a few years ago, but I must have been mispelling their name and could not get on their website. I now can. (Thanks for the correct spelling). lol

Lucky you... Eugene!

You have a clothes line! I want one so bad! Unfortunately, my other half refuses to budge.
