Here's the correct water level in a Maytag wringer ... to the top of the vane ridges on the agitator.

The old agitators used to have "Water Line" written around the agitator at the top of the vane ridges. With the turquioise agitators, Maytag removed the wording.

Don't be afraid to fill up your Maytag to the water line; that's what it likes!!
