The Speed Queen Has Arrived!

Hi Guys.

Picked up the commercial Speed Queen last night.

Its Fabulous! I love it!

Reading the instruction book last night I found you can set the water level but ajusting a cam which is in the control panel.
Now behave boys but it said you can have 10 inches or 11 or 13 inches! Well of course I chose 13 inches as if you are going to choose then go for the 13 incher.

agi and tub look like ours in the basement at home - only the rest is a bit different!

"Push to Start"... Then I bet there is no difference in the cycle times, sequences and motor speeds when different water temps are selected...

Great pics and great machine. i love how it swamps the Liberator! Hows the agi at cleaning? I always worry with them straight ones they dont get good rollover like a Spiralator - maybe its the Hotpoint in me LOL! have fun playing, got a washer in the Villa we are staying in so will be sure to get some pics of that if I get chance to play. Dunno whether to expect a TL or an Automatic. Suprises Suprises! Just praying its not a cold wash machine like they have in Brazil. Its too close for my liking so could very well be! Thrilled you got the SQ! It looks to be in great shape too - I love the retro temp knob (I'm sure my gran's 1950s SQ wringer had the exact same knobs on it...) and the minimalist straight vane SQ agitators, and the roll-over looks very good too.

Questions - is it one of the models that fills all the way round the tub from the balance ring, or just through a inlet near the centre of the lid? Does it have the usual SQ double hook drain hose?

You know that modern Speed Queen washers like that one are made by some company called Continental Girbau.

question for the US experts: Does the agitation in this model seem a little faster than the US machines?

i love the full water level. many laundry operators have theirs set to less than full, from what ive seen.
