The UHauls here and the panic sets in

I just got home with the 26ft UHaul truck I'll be conveying all my precious vacs and assorted treasures back east in once we get it loaded up hopefully by tomorrow so I can be on the road Sunday. They say it will hold a 3 bedroom house worth of furniture but from the looks of it I somehow doubt it. Luckily I'm doing this move in two stages, taking a load back now and putting it in storage, flying back here, then after we close on this house I'll rent another and DP can follow in his truck. I dread the drive because I usually short cut thru MN, WI and MI but with a truckload of household goods it'll probably be more hassle than it's worth trying to get into the US, they'll think I'm moving there.. LOL

Pete, I know just what you are going through!!! I am in the process of getting ready to move as well. Movers arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday. I had to pack everything myself though so it has been a long process. Good luck on the move. Terry

Ugh the packing part is the worst and everytime you turn around or go into a room you see more "this and that" I wish would just disappear. I'm taking my GE washer and Kenmore Dryer for sure even though the dryer isn't anything special. We're leaving the KA stove and my very aging 3 door GE side by side fridge which I was never that partial about because the compartments are so skinny ( and it's almond). Now I find I don't have enough boxes and have to go out and buy some more. This whole thing has me questioning my own sanity as to what am I gonna do with all this stuff or else what is my partner or my next of kin gonna do with all this stuff should I move on to the next realm first LOL
