I am just amazed at your wonderful collection, but the deck and view is to die for. Congratulations on your new phone. Great, great pictures.

Thanks John, I waited and saved money half a lifetime to live on the lake, and then it came to pass. Grateful every day.

Speak of the devil, Glenn: I was just telling my 90 year old friend Jasper how you could date his old Whirpool by the numbers; he can't remember when he bought it. Aunt alice had no repairs to the Gold Pool, nor have I tinkered, so the knob should be factory issue. Interested to hear more.

Back in a thread when the Norge agitator

was attached to a Speed Queen spline, someone asked to see the front of the machine. Here it is, but something interesting is coming up.
Notice: the factory put the decal on crooked!

A guy dropped off an older SQ with many issues. Here, you see the tub-to pump hose, AFTER I had pre-soaked and gouged out the soap cement. At first, there was no space in the hose's opening as there is now; it was completely cemented over, hard white rock.

It wouldn't agitate, either.

So with stuffed hoses and a seized pump, it can't drain, can't wash; but Eureka!--the timer worked perfectly, so I kept it. And now I'm in the maelstrom of "fixits."
Look at how minimal the wash times are. Interesting and provacative.

Remembered Robert's Rule

of going to the auto parts store. Bingo: they sell it by the foot, I need 18 inches, so I bought the two foot piece to cut, and two nice new steel clamps.

But the drain port is clogged, and I can't get at it so far. Poured boiling vinegar into the port last night. Still hasn't budged--not on drop of vinegar had seeped thru. Oh what's a washer man to do?
