Yeah, and when the rest of the world gets a US president that wants to sit and have coffee and talk with dangerous dictators when they turn around and invade and bomb, they'll be the first to come crying to him to do something for them.

You have to keep your enemies close

So having coffee with some dangerous dictator may not be such a bad thing. Anyway, the US administration whores itself out to anyone whom they see as potentially furthering their own interests, which, BTW, is not necessarily in the best interest of the American public, geo-political stability, democracy, human rights etc. - the list is endless. Surely I won't need to give particular examples of this. We all know what they get up to. The American Administration is extremely efficient at constantly undermining its own credibility and only has itself to blame. At least with Russia and the Chinese there is no pretense - what you see is what you get. With the US one never knows where one is at. When America intervenes somewhere it most certainly isn't to protect the weak and vulnerable.

America used to inspire the rest of the world. Now, it is showing the world what not to do. As it stands right now, the world is over America. Amercia really needs to get over itself so it can make a new beginning and stop its slide into global irrelevance.

Mindless propaganda...

Five Secretaries of State - including Condoleeza Rice - have stated without exception that direct diplomacy is the only solution to dealing with some of these nations and their dictatorships.

The propaganda just gets funnier and funnier every day. Was that you in a blond wig on the View today? ;-)

sit and have coffee and talk with dangerous dictators

Oh, like John McCain sat and drank mai tais with the military commander who overthrew the democratically elected government of Fiji in 2005? And it wasn't just drinks, it was a series of serious in depth talks at Turtle Island - an exclusive, very expensive private resort island that most Fijians can't set foot on unless they are very wealthy.

Did McCain declare his free room and board on Turtle Island as a gift?
