Thermostats

I cant be bothered messing with those new fangled things. My old round Honeywells are set once a year to 58 downstairs, 63 up and this place is comfortable for me. I keep layers on from now on as it is right around freezing outside. Upstairs baseboard heat just kicked on and using more oil. Oh well.

Mine looks to be a General Electric

I believe it’s been here since 1934 and is still working.
I put the two white dots that are on the temp control. (Too hard to see the numbers)
One dot is where I set it at night. In between the two dots is for day.
Lever on bottom is for On/Off.
This operates a old floor furnace.
It ain’t fancy, but works for me.

Stan, if you look a little closer the thermostat is a "General Controls" rather than a "General Electric."

General Controls seems to have been owned by ITT.

Either way, it must have been well-made!
