Im in shock. They still stick the name Tappan on something. I would buy one if i had a use for a basic second stove (canning or what not). Pictured next to a bol Frigidaire that felt so frail and delicate

had one

about 8 yrs ago like that, got at Lowes,i think it was like 280.00 they told me Electrolux made it & I loved it, I got all matching appliances & sold it for 250.00 to the first person that looked at it(I had it for like a year) and I never heard anything from him ,so it must of preformed well for him too

The house I'm living in currently has a Tappan range that's about 1.5 yrs. old. Compared to the tin can Admiral (Magic Chef) that was there before, it is very nice. Not as well made as my old Westinghouse, of course. The Tappan came from Lowes, and I recognized it as being a Frigidaire right away. In fact, the instruction book said Frigidaire instead of Tappan.

A friend of mine got a stove very similar to this after their kitchen was redone about 7 years ago. I always thought it was odd that it had the Tappan name. Theirs looks very much like this except the panel and oven door are white and it's a smoothtop. I could tell it was Frigidaire made as it looked like a Kenmore.

I am a little surprised they still sell these, I rarely see two tone appliances. Most everthing is monochromatic now.
